Aesthetics and music in S.L. Bhyrappa’s novels

Abstract

Metafisica ed Estetica, Letteratura e Musica costituiscono le fondamenta su si basano i ventidue romanzi di Bhyrappa. Nel presente articolo si analizzano tre suoi romanzi, Tantu (The Thread) (1993), Sartha (the Caravan) (1998) and Mandra (Lower Octave) (2002)- tutti e tre tradotti in inglese da chi scrive. Il rapporto tra Vita e Arte, Arte e Artista, Esperienza Estetica ed Etica, Arte per l’Arte, Arte e Moralità costituisce il tema dei suoi romanzi, la cui struttura riproduce la forma della musica classica Hindustani. Anche i rapporti personali vengono allegoricamente rappresentati attraverso una partnership tra forme artistiche diverse.
